GRADE II LISTED FARMHOUSE, NORTH OXFORDSHIRE
This involved the conversion of existing dairy annexed to a Grade II listed farmhouse into home office space, dining area, mezzanine level and ancillary accommodation. Work included reconstruction of the solid stone floor to incorporate new underfloor heating using a geothermal heat source by laying a series of pipes within the paddock (see indicative plan) and the installation of associated mechanical plant. Work also included damp proofing and renewal of all finishes using largely a traditional lime technology to preserve the natural behaviour of the historic building fabric. Work was completed during Spring 2009 and the final result is a transformation of the internal spaces and the improvement of the performance & lifespan of the building. |
