  • Following the publication of John Man's 'Xanadu' (left) in 2009 on 15 February 2010 John gave a lecture at The Royal Geographical Society where Thomas Man's interpretation of Marco Polo's account of Kublai Khan's Pleasure Dome at Xanadu was presented and discussed in detail. These discussions helped generate great interest in the ultimate ambition of seeing a replica of the Dome constructed near Beijing.
  • As part of Perioli Man Architects' role as consultants to Montgomery Architects Thomas Man undertook the detailed design and contract administration for the alterations to and refurbishment of the Grade II* Stone's Building at The Stones Court Almshouses in St. Clements, Oxford built in 1700. This work was completed in Spring 2009 and in October 2009 Thomas received the Oxford Preservation Trust Award for this project on behalf of Montgomery Architects.

  • In November 2008 Perioli Man Architects moved into their new office at No. 8 St. Aldates in the centre of Oxford. This move is not only intended to improve the practice’s profile and efficiency but also consolidates the link with their associates, Montgomery Architects, with whom they share the building.

  • Perioli Man Architects have won the planning appeal for the proposed alterations to Ammerham Mill in Somerset. The Planning Inspectorate supported all aspects of the design and included in their Appeal Decision statement that ‘...overall I find that the extension would comprise a satisfactory addition to the dwelling.’ Work on site is due to begin during 2009.
